New Year’s Eve at Disneyland Paris
On December 31, Disneyland Paris is organizing a special New Year’s Eve evening with extended opening until 1 a.m., dinner show at several restaurants and an additional fireworks display at midnight. The department store World of Disney at Disney Village is open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and offers Christmas editions (collector's stuffed animals, tree ornaments, ugly Christmas sweater Mickey clothing). You can have your purchases sent to your Disney hotel for free (delivery the same evening), convenient for avoiding congestion at the attractions.
The magic combo: Christmas at Disney + Versailles
For a day off the beaten track, a combo of Versailles in the morning (decorated Hall of Mirrors, royal Christmas tree) + return to Disneyland in the afternoon can be organized by taxi with a metered fare quote. Versailles is closed on Monday but opens the other days of the Christmas season.
💡 Christmas driver advice
For a transfer on December 24 or 31, book 48 hours in advance — demand explodes on these two days. For the early January 1 return to the airports, the road is exceptionally smooth (the Parisians are asleep) — flight at 8 a.m.? Departure from Disneyland 6:00 a.m. is more than enough.
